Caryville, Florida Expansion
The Lord has given us a vision and an opportunity to expand our ministry through the purchase of a vacant youth camp about forty-five minutes from our current location. The property is on a 35-acre parcel and has a small church, an open-air pavilion, and two unfinished large dormitory buildings that could house up to eighty men when completed. There is a small pond and ample room to have a garden. Through a pledge of financial support from New Begginings Church in Oklahoma, we recently finalized the purchase of this property and are excited about the possibilities this opens up for us.
We are prayerfully considering a number of options. Once the dormitories are habitable, we can relocate residents from our Crestview location, which will free up room for new residents and relieve the over crowding there. We are also looking at possibly expanding our program to accept single women with children or to address the needs of broken families with children. We feel led to expand our ministry to one that will be able to care for anyone in need--from the cradle to the grave—and we welcome partners to help us achieve this vision.
We are seeking financial partners, prayer partners, and ministry volunteers who feel led to join us on this venture. We will need labor and materials for the remodeling and ministers to encourage and support the workers and residents. In addition, we are asking churches and service organizations to consider sponsoring one or more dorm rooms. A sponsorship of $1000 per month would support a full room of four residents. A sponsorship of $500 would support a half room or two residents. In turn, you would be guaranteed openings in our 12-month program for your church family members with life-impacting issues.
Your gift or sponsorship of any size will help house, clothe, feed, educate, and minister to hurting individuals as they complete our program toward full recovery. Please pray about this request to join us in serving …those who are in need, …our community, and …our Lord.
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me’. Matthew 25:35-36
