Welcome!
OUR MISSION
Harvest Vineyard Mission is a non-profit, residential Christian-based recovery center in Crestview, Florida that seeks to connect struggling lives with the love and power of Jesus Christ in order to see them transformed into radical, passionate worshipers of God. Through Spirit-led personal ministry and an intensive discipleship environment, our vision is to break down walls and demolish chains of bondage; rebuilding broken lives, clothing the naked and feeding the hungry while making a difference in the lives of hurting people and for those who have life controlling issues. We know that through the love of God, the study of His Word, and a sincere desire on the part of the individual, a profound change can and will occur.
HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
Through a 12 month commitment we offer hope to people who otherwise could not have escaped the controlling cycles in which they had become accustomed.
At HVM residents are put into strict Godly disciplines that make them successful against their life-controlling problems. Some of the residents come to us voluntarily and some are placed in the program by the courts. All residents are placed in an environment to help them recover from addiction and participate in classes with teachers who also teach relapse prevention. Our goal is for the students to return to their community and family, and for them to find success in their life pursuits.
HOW WE BEGAN
After receiving a vision from the Lord in 1996 to “loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens…” from Isaiah 58, Alex Thompson gave up a successful contracting business to step out in faith to obey what he knew were his marching orders from God. In that same year, solely through the grace and provision of God, the first building was purchased.
Since that time hundreds of men and women seeking personal restoration have enrolled into Harvest Vineyard Mission, with a high percentage of those completing going on to live successful lives while remaining free in Christ.
Today, the vision has grown with plans to expand, establishing a separate women’s facility in Crestview along with other mission centers as the Lord provides the locations, finances and staff. We currently house about 35 men and 17 women.
Harvest Vineyard Mission is a Non-Denominational Ministry.
If you, a friend, or a family member feel the need to come to Harvest Vineyard Mission for a year of personal restoration such as we offer, please contact us so that we may set up a phone interview and send you a pre-enrollment packet. We would also be glad to answer questions you may have and pray with you for any special needs.
In addition to what we offer our program residents, we have two weekly services which are open to the public:
Sunday at 2:30pm
Thursday at 7:00pm
